Squirrel Protection - Sciurus Vulgaris
Until recently, the squirrel was listed in the Republic of Croatia’s Red Book of Mammals as an endangered species needing special protection. However, the red squirrel is currently categorized as 'Least Concern' according to the IUCN's Threatened Species List. Despite this classification, their populations decline, particularly in cities and urban areas.
